Hey,
Can we talk for 5 minutes? Not as a lecture. As someone who’s been where you are and wishes someone told me this earlier.
I know “routine” sounds boring. It sounds like school, like rules, like being caged.
But I need to tell you something I’ve learned – Life is not built on big motivation. Life is built on small routines. Routine births success.
Let me explain.
1. Motivation lies. Routine doesn’t.
We all feel pumped on Monday. “New week, new me.” By Wednesday, that feeling is gone.
The people who actually get results — the ones with the money, the peace, the skills, the respect — aren’t the most talented. They’re the most consistent.
Example:
Dolly Parton writes songs every morning.
Cristiano Ronaldo sleeps, trains, and eats at the same time every day.
Your favorite creator on TikTok posts every Tuesday and Friday at 7pm.
They’re not waiting to “feel like it.” They have a routine. Routine is what you do when motivation is on leave.
2. Routine = Freedom, not Prison
I know what you’re thinking: “Routine will kill my freedom.” The opposite is true.
When you don’t have a routine, every day you waste energy deciding:
What should I eat? When should I study? Should I post today? Should I sleep now?
That’s exhausting. That’s why you feel scattered.
Routine takes the small decisions off your plate so you can use your energy for big things: your dreams, your business, your relationships, your fun.
80% structure. 20% freedom. Lock the important things first. Then the rest of the day is truly yours.
3. The “Success 3” – A Simple Routine to Start
You don’t need a 5am cold shower + 10-point timetable. You’ll quit in 3 days.
Just start with 3 anchors. Do these daily and watch your life change in 90 days:
A. Morning Anchor – 30 minutes
Wake up. Pray. Water. 5 minutes to plan your day. 1 thing that moves you forward.
Why? You start the day deciding, not reacting.
B. Work/Study Anchor – 2 hours
Same time every day. Phone off. Deep work. No scrolling.
Why? This is where money, skills, and grades are made. 2 hours x 365 days = become an expert.
C. Evening Anchor – 20 minutes
No phone 30min before bed. Journal 3 lines: What went well? What did I learn? What’s for tomorrow?
Why?: You close loops. You sleep better. You wake up with direction.
That’s it. 3 hours a day. The other 21 hours are yours.
4. What routine will give you:
- Less stress – You stop firefighting because you planned ahead
- More respect – People trust people who are reliable
- Real results – Skills compound. Money compounds. Reputation compounds
- Peace of mind – You stop feeling guilty because you know you showed up.
5. My promise to you:
I’m not asking you to be perfect. I’m asking you to experiment.
Pick just ONE routine for the next 21 days. Just one:
If it’s waking up by 7am.
If it’s studying from 6pm-8pm.
If it’s posting content every day.
Try it. If it doesn’t make your life 10% better, drop it. No shame.
But I believe if you do, 6 months from now you’ll thank yourself.
So let me ask you:
Of all your goals right now, what’s the ONE routine that would move the needle the most?
Write it down. Set a reminder. Check your result. You will be proud of yourself.
I believe in you. And I know that the future version of you is being built today, in the boring, unsexy, daily routine.
Routine births success. And success gives you the freedom to live life on your own terms.
I’m proud of you for reading this.
Love,
Rachel Adelore
